Derek is a qualified and CMC accredited workplace mediator with a passion for helping parties to solve conflict in a fair and amicable way.

With a natural ability to build relationships quickly and effectively, Derek puts parties at ease with his calm, supportive approach – all key attributes of a great mediator.

Derek has a vast amount of industry experience managing conflict. Prior to qualifying as a mediator, Derek worked in an Ombudsman role seeking conflict resolutions that met the needs of all parties involved.

Derek has a passion for equality, and with a masters in Human Rights, is able to use his knowledge and experience to promote a safe and inclusive environment for all parties involved in mediation, often dealing with issues which are avoided by organisations and other mediation providers.

Outside of work Derek very much values spending time with family and friends. He is passionate about travel, world politics and also loves a game of chess!
